Warehouses

Quality guaranteed, bespoke solutions available

Steel is one of the best materials for use in a range of different industries, with extensive applications available thanks to the flexibility and scalability of steel frames.

All sectors can benefit from the installation of steel warehouses, including agriculture, industry, commercial business, leisure and hospitality businesses and manufacturing, while domestic customers also find these structures particularly beneficial for a variety of purposes, as well.

These steel buildings are made from high-grade steel and are very quick to assemble, as well as being very competitively priced, which is why they’re so popular for a raft of different clients from very different backgrounds.

At TotalSpan, you’ll find that our steel framed warehouses and other structures all conform to UK Part L2 building regulations for energy efficiency, as well as fire rating standards, so you don’t need to worry that sustainability and health and safety haven’t been taken into account.

Our warehouses are available in easy-to-assemble kits so it’s possible for you to put them together onsite yourself, as there’s no need for specialist skills or equipment to install them successfully. However, we do provide a full installation service, with the team coming out to build the structure at the location of your choice if you need us to.

Our steel buildings are all designed for both short and long-term use, so you will be able to move the structure at any point if a new location is required for whatever reason. Our steel is also available in a range of gauges for different insulation requirements.

If you can’t find exactly what you need to suit your site, we offer a design and consultancy service where we work closely with you to design a bespoke structure that’s tailored to your specific requirements, with up to 120mm steel wall cladding available.

The advantages of steel warehouses

Steel warehouses are a great choice for businesses in the vast majority of sectors and industries.

Firstly, they deliver shorter lead times so construction takes place a lot quicker than with other materials, which means you’re able to get up and running more efficiently… which is only ever good for business. Traditional warehouses can take months to construct but if you opt for steel framing, you can be fully operational in a matter of days.

These warehouses are also easy to scale up and down, so you can make changes depending on the needs of your business, enjoying greater flexibility with height, width and length.

You will also be able to take advantage of longer clear spans (which is the length of a building that doesn’t need additional structural support such as trusses or pillars). This makes it easier to manoeuvre your way through the space, as well as giving you clearer overhead movement.

Our steel frames are available in both hot and cold rolled steel, so you can decide which material best suits your needs. Regardless of the process, however, all our steel is strong, durable and solid, making it perfect for warehouse use thanks to its ability to withstand bad weather and heavy use.

Our structures are available in a range of different sizes, but we can also tailor them to suit your needs, with all our manufacturing, supply and installation services available nationwide.

When you first meet with the team, make sure that you tell us what you intend to use the warehouse for, as this may have an impact on the type of steel that’s best suited to the job at hand, as well as the level of groundworks potentially required before installation can take place.

Give us a call today

With more than 20 years of experience behind us in the industry, the TotalSpan team are experienced and professional design and engineering experts, providing our clients with affordable yet high-quality light gauge steel structures for a range of different applications.

We enjoy close collaboration with all our clients, providing structural drawings and 3D blueprints at the start of the process for them to review before installation work begins. This covers geolocational factors including snow load and wind, which helps to prevent potentially costly mistakes while ensuring that you’ll be fully satisfied with the end result.

If necessary, we can carry out a full survey of the site before groundworks and structural work takes place. Here, a site engineer will come out to visit the site and ensure that your choice of location is the most appropriate one for the steel structure.
