All our garages, workshops, warehouses and buildings conform to UK Part L2 building regulations for energy efficiency, as well as all fire rating requirements, with a bespoke design service available if you need something more specific. Up to 120mm steel wall cladding is available, so you can enjoy a full turnkey solution with TotalSpan products.

 

Our temporary and permanent steel buildings are designed for both short and long-term use, so no matter what your requirements, you’ll find what you’re looking for with us.

 

Note, as well, that we provide self-build garage kits that are quick and easy to install, without the need for any specialist skills or equipment, so you should be able to erect the structure efficiently on your own. However, we also provide a full installation service and can come out to build the structure onsite on your behalf if required.

Our build-it-yourself garage kits are made of prefabricated components which are delivered to your site to be constructed on location. The process itself is quick and efficient without much labour involved - and the build can take place in most conditions, so you don’t have to worry that the project will be delayed by our tempestuous British weather.

 

While we have a series of different-sized garage structures available, we also offer a custom build service so you can design your own building to fulfil your specific requirements. 

 

A range of different options are available, allowing you to tailor your design down to the smallest of details, including dividing walls, roller doors, multiple bays, open and closed bay areas, roof ventilation, insulation and so on.

 

Note that insulation is one of the most important considerations when opting for a steel building, as you’ll need to regulate the interior temperature of the structure. If you don’t do this, you’ll find it gets decidedly chilly come winter! 

 

With proper installation installed, you can protect the building from corrosion, rust and mould, and maintain its temperature throughout the year.

 

That aside, one of the biggest benefits of steel is that it’s lighter and stronger than other materials, such as wood or concrete, but it’s also incredibly strong and is able to carry heavy loads. As long as you look after your structure and maintain it properly, you’ll find it lasts for years without cracking like concrete would and without rotting, which you’d get with timber.

 

And, of course, let’s not forget about the fact that steel prefab buildings are very quick to assemble, so downtime and disruption is kept to a minimum, allowing you to start using your new garage in next to no time. Faster construction times also help to keep costs down, so it’s a very real win-win!
